Kayla is a Michigander who loves to experience the world around her - anything from a walk in the forest, to a new art exhibit, to interviewing people protesting. She spent last year in the Pacific Northwest as an intern at YES! Magazine, a publication that advocates positive change and solutions on topics including social change, the environment, and new economy. Kayla immerses herself in poetry when she can, and dabbles in the art of writing it on occasion, although she isn't very good.
